The teal green was made by brewing hibiscus with saffron and turmeric and allowing it to steep overnight. It was applied with a spray bottle as the base layer. I poured the black (squid ink) and brown (chicory/cocoa) pigments through the bones as the piece dried all week. Pieces like this dry in stages and require a lot of patience but the results are usually worth it.
